Dear Teachers..

Dear teachers, thank you for your love of learning. Every course, workshop, and resource you have absorbed in order to ensure you are fully prepared for each student walking into your classroom, is a gift that students continue opening year after year.  

Dear teachers, thank you for your empathy. For understanding that there is often an underlying reason for a behavior, or difficulty, a student experiences. Thank you for seeing the student, and not just their struggle.

Dear teachers, thank you for being a friend, loving family member, or supportive cheerleader to those students that would not otherwise have a safe space. You are a hero to all, and your open heart for the most vulnerable of them, is truly seen and valued.

Dear teachers, thank you for accepting the challenge of educating our future. For holding the responsibility of equipping the doctors, nurses, architects, business owners, inventors, legal professionals, computer and

technology experts, innovators, administrators, support professionals, and community and government leaders with the tools they’ll need to make lasting changes for the next generation.

Most importantly, thank you for being the reason that millions of students will take the same charge to educate the leaders of their future. You are the inspiration for educators of this next generation, and they will remember what they learned just by watching you. Thank you for your willingness to teach them; in both well-planned, and, as we’re experiencing now, completely unexpected, yet teachable moments.
